The Florida Redevelopment Association is offering VIRTUAL TRAINING for the Redevelopment Academy Course:

Creating & Using Redevelopment Incentives

Part A:  Tues March 30,   10AM-12PM 

Part B:  Tues April 6,       10AM-12PM 

Part C:  Thurs April 8,      10AM-12PM

What will you learn?

1. Identify what an incentive is and the kinds of incentives often available.
2. Identify theoretical and practical reasons why incentives may be appropriate.
3. Review the fundamental elements of real estate finance and investment.
4. Evaluate incentive options from both the public and the private perspectives.
5. Discuss how to tailor incentives to the most pressing concerns or priorities of the project and the larger community.

TRAINING DATES & FORMAT

This virtual training program will include: A) live virtual meetings, B) self-paced/on-demand modules, and C) the (virtual) Exam. You must complete all of these to earn certification.  You can complete the on-demand modules any day/time 24/7.

Plan to attend all three (3) LIVE Virtual/Instructor-led dates:

Part A:  Tues March 30,   10AM-12PM 

Part B:  Tues April 6,       10AM-12PM 

Part C:  Thurs April 8,      10AM-12PM (Includes online proctored exam from 11AM-12PM. The exam will be closed book (no notes), and proctored online by the University of Central Florida Institute of Government).

TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS

For this virtual course, you must have:

•         A computer/laptop that MUST have webcam/microphone/audio/video capability.

•         A high-speed internet connection (Suggestion: hard- wired with ethernet cable is more reliable than wi-fi.)
